Hello, I'm Jared Getgano. I am currently a tv production student and senior at Norwood High School in Norwood, MA. I aspire to become a physican one day and enjoy multiple activities on the side. From all things tv production to traveling around either by bus, plane, car, or train,  you'll always catch me with at least my cameraphone in hand. Get going with me, as I travel New England and beyond.

Born in Brighton, MA to Ayn and Conchita, I popped out. â€‹Immigrants from the Philippines, my parents took two very different paths with experiences that crossed over into my upbringing. Fresh out of high school in Randolph, MA, my father signed on for a career serving his country in the United States Army. My mother came to the U.S. at the ripe age of 21 with her nursing diploma, $50, and a dream. Today, they enjoy life as a mechanical inspector and nurse raising my younger brother Neo and I in good ol' New Enlgand.

As for my tv production career, it started in 2011. I was walking out of basketball practice with my best friend Brian when he suggested we shoot a video the next day because it was a day off. We filmed "Jamal's Revenge" and it was a hit for my friends, their families, and their family friends. Soon after, my friend Colin's mom had seen an ad in the paper for Norwood Public Access's new "Youth Video Club" and suggested I check it out. I went and soon after, I formed bonds with the studio's staff and was offered a job as a freelance producer (and later an assistant teacher for the same Youth Video Club program I took) my sophomore year of high school. From then on, I became a student in the Norwood High School tv program under Mr. Brunt where I am a part of the morning news crew and constantly working on improving my craft.
